At the start of the pandemic, instructor-led training (ILT) sessions were postponed or transitioned quickly to vILT. As time passed and teams continued working remotely, learning and development (L&D) leaders needed to make decisions about learning programs that were leveraging ILT sessions. Teams discovered that ILT sessions that were simply converted to vILT weren't a 1:1 match and needed adjustments. Content had to be refreshed to fit a virtual classroom environment. Instructors had to be trained on the best techniques to engage with participants that were together remotely but physically separated.
